This is a really common (and very frustrating) trap, so you’re not alone.
In My Studio Manager, duplicating a form copies the layout only — not the fields themselves.
That means the fields inside the form are shared.
What went wrong (most common issue)
This usually happens when:
A form is duplicated (for example, for 2026 classes)
The existing fields are edited instead of creating new ones
Because the fields are shared, those changes also update:
The original form
Any other forms using those same fields
This is why updating the 2026 form accidentally changed the 2025 form.
The correct way to create a new-year form (eg. 2026)
If you want a form for a new year, new classes, or new options, you must:
Duplicate the form (this gives you the layout)
Delete the existing fields from the duplicated form
Create brand new fields with the new options (eg. 2026 classes)
Save the form
You can keep fields that remain the same so things like Name and Address fields.
New year = new fields.
Quick rule to remember
Editing existing fields = changes everywhere
New options or new year = create new fields
If you’re ever unsure, stop and create a new field — it’s always the safest option.
Explain it like I’m 5
Think of a form like a piece of paper, and the fields like stickers.
When you duplicate a form:
You get a new piece of paper
But it uses the same stickers
If you change the text on a sticker, it changes everywhere that sticker is used, even on the original form.
