Note: Hive Projects is a 3rd party integration. This video has been provided by the developer.
Inside HIVE PROJECTS, every task card displays a default title format. If you’d prefer your task cards to show information differently — such as adding task numbers, ticket numbers, or changing the structure — you can customise this using the Nomenclature settings.
This guide shows you how to update the task title format so your cards display exactly the way you want.
Why Change the Task Title Format?
Customising the title format can help you:
See ticket numbers or task IDs at a glance
Make searching for tasks faster
Create a consistent naming system for your studio
Use HIVE PROJECTS as a ticketing/helpdesk system if you choose
Every task automatically has a unique number, so you can build this into your preferred naming style.
How to Change the Task Title Format
To update the title format:
Open HIVE PROJECTS
Click Settings
Select Nomenclature
Click Setup
You will now see the format editor, where you can customise how task names appear.
Example Format Setup
A popular setup is:
{task_title} - {ticket_number}This displays:
The name of the task
A dash
The unique task/ticket number assigned by HIVE PROJECTS
This is perfect if you want to use HIVE as a ticketing system, or if you simply want quick reference numbers on each card.
If you’re not using tickets, you can treat the number as a Task ID.
Saving Your Changes
Update the format in the editor
Click Save
Once saved, all task cards throughout HIVE PROJECTS will automatically update to the new format.
You will now see the task title followed by the task/ticket number on each card.
Searching by Task or Ticket Number
After updating your format:
The task/ticket number becomes visible on every card
You can type that number into the search bar to instantly find the task
This makes locating tasks fast and reliable, especially in busy studio workflows.
