Task templates in HIVE PROJECTS make it easy to reuse common tasks without rebuilding them from scratch. If you have tasks you create regularly — lesson prep, onboarding steps, uniform orders, or admin processes — templates save you time and keep your workflow consistent.
This guide shows you how to create templates, manage them, and use them across any project or board.
Task templates allow you to pre-configure:
Task titles
Descriptions
Assigned users
Files
Subtasks
Tags
Any other task details
You can then use that template to instantly create a new task with all this information already set up.
Perfect for repetitive studio work.
To create your first template:
Open any project in HIVE PROJECTS
Create a new task
Add any details you want included in the template:
File attachments
Descriptions
Assigned users
Notes
Once the task is ready, click Save as Template
You’ll see a confirmation that the template has been saved.
All saved templates can be found in:
Project Menu → Templates
Each template will display the task name and any saved details.
Templates are stored at the account level — not just the project level — so you can use them anywhere in HIVE PROJECTS.
You can create a templated task in any project, even if the template originated in a different project.
To use a template:
Go to Templates
Select the template you want
Choose which project to send it to
Click Create
HIVE will automatically add the templated task to the selected project with all the files, descriptions and settings already included.
Here’s how templates work in practice:
You create a task called “This will be templated”
You add a description and upload a couple of files
You save it as a template
You delete the task from the project
Later, you return to Templates → select it → send it back to the project
The new task appears with all the same files and details restored
Templates save you from retyping or re-uploading anything.
