3 New tabs added. Although not all are fully functional. Snippet, Season, Parents.
Snippet.
This will be where you can create HTML code to add to your non-MSM website for enrolments into the class manager system. Currently clicking this takes you to a blank screen. Not sure why but the developers are aware.
Season.
This is part of the new season function being built into the Class Manager module. In here you will be able to create your class seasons and apply them to your classes.
Hopefully soon you will also be able to add black-out dates to seasons from this section.
When you are editing or creating a class you can select a custom date or use the seasons you have created in this section as below. This then lets you select the classes from the pre-determined season. This is still a bit dis-functional as it should automatically select the dates for the season rather than requiring you to then add those dates into a group. The developers will be fixing this soon.
Parents.
This will be where you can manage the parent accounts and the students associated with those parents. Currently this tab does nothing. But this is incredibly exciting.
Portals Added to Settings Menu
This is part of the next upcoming feature. A portal for parents to log in and manage their family and add classes and also a portal for your team to be able to mark the roles effortlessly. Currently the Teacher portal button doesn’t work but should be up and running very soon.
Bulk Upload Calendars (classes)
You can now bulk upload your classes when importing from an external program. Make sure you download the CSV template and use that before attempting to import your classes.
Class Pricing - Individual vs Fixed Fee
You can charge a fee for a whole term or per class by selecting this option. This is still being worked on and I don’t completely understand it. Stay tuned for info on this.
Calendars vs Classes
If you are confused by the use of the word ‘calendars’ vs ‘classes’ then that is understandable. Technically classes in the system are calendars in the back end so the developers prefer to use ‘calendars’ when they are developing sections. I usually get them to change the wording over to CLASSES once they have finished developing a section so its not confusing for you however this is the glory of a BETA (test) version.
On the Horizon.
The new billing system is almost complete. We are excited to show to you! Stay tuned for updates.
