Here’s an example of what the chat widget looks like when you’ve added it to your website or funnel page. This is a powerful tool to collect lead information, as it provides a direct and instant connection between your business and potential customers.
It allows visitors to ask questions, receive immediate responses, and provide their contact details—all while still browsing the site. This information can then be used to follow up and potentially convert that lead into a paying customer.
In addition, having a chat widget on your website enhances the overall customer experience by offering a quick and convenient way to communicate.
Messages sent through the widget will appear directly in your Conversations area, where you can easily read, review, and respond.
To set it up, log into your account and head to the left sidebar. Click on Sites, and once the page loads, open the Chat Widget tab from the top menu.
From here, you can fully customise the widget settings—including your intro message, chat image, and the message shown to returning visitors. Under the Widget Window settings, you can personalise the headers, choose what information you’d like to collect, and adjust the colours and branding to suit your style.
In the Acknowledgement Settings, you can set a custom thank-you message that displays once a visitor submits their message. Note that the chat widget will use the visitor’s SMS number to send and receive messages.
When you’re finished customising, click Save. You can also choose to copy the embed code to install it on an external website or click Get it for WordPress if needed.
As mentioned in the Sites lesson, you can toggle the chat widget on or off for any funnel or website page created in the system.
The best part of this chat widget—aside from all the customisation and data collection features—is that it automatically feeds all messages into the Conversations tool, making it easy for you or your team to reply whenever needed.
