Choosing Your Video
The CRM requires that videos be hosted within its platform. External sources like YouTube or Vimeo are not supported.
Ensure your video is uploaded to the CRM's media library before proceeding.
Accessing Sites: Within the subaccount, locate and click on the 'Sites' option. Here, you'll find options for both funnels and websites.
Creating a New Funnel/Website: To add a new funnel, click on the 'Create New Funnel' button. You can choose to start from scratch or select from a range of templates. For adding a video background, templates with a hero section are highly recommended.
Editing an Existing Funnel/Website: If you're working on an existing page, simply find it in your list and click to edit.
Access the Section Settings: Within your chosen template or funnel, left-click within a section. This will open a menu where you can customise various aspects of your section.
Enable Background Media Type: Scroll through the settings until you find the "Background Media Type" option. The option should allow you to choose between an image or video background.
Select Your Video: Once you've enabled the video option, proceed to select the video file you wish to use as your background. Ensure the video is appropriate for your site's content and audience.
Video Thumbnail: This is a preview image that should represent what the video is about.
Video Options: This setting determines how your video fits within the designated area. "Cover" is typically the most visually appealing option, as it ensures the video fills the space effectively.
Background Video Opacity: Adjusting the opacity can help you find the right balance between your video and overlaying text or images. Play around with this setting to achieve the desired effect.
Loop Video: Enabling this option will make your video replay continuously. This is particularly useful for creating a dynamic background without requiring multiple video files.
Adjust the video settings to fit your needs. Options include fill, fit, and cover to resize the video appropriately.
You can also adjust the background video opacity to ensure the video does not overpower the content on your page.
Preview Your Work: It's always a good idea to preview your page to ensure the video displays correctly and doesn't hinder the user experience.
Publish: Once satisfied with how your video background looks, hit the 'Publish' button to make your changes live.
Supported Video Formats: Only MP4 videos are supported. If you have videos in other formats (.MOV, etc.), use a converter to change them to MP4 before uploading.
Optimising Video for Web: Ensure your video is optimised for web use to prevent slow loading times, which can negatively impact user experience.
Video Content Considerations: Choose a video that complements your page content without distracting from the main message. Subtle, slow-moving videos often work best.
Can I use videos from external platforms?
No, videos must be hosted within the CRM platform.
Will adding a video background slow down my page?
If the video is optimised correctly, it should not significantly impact loading times. However, it's always good to test your page's performance.
