The Import Contacts and Opportunities feature provides an efficient solution for importing contacts and opportunities through a single CSV file. This feature simplifies the process for bulk creation and updating of records, reducing the need for manual data entry and ensuring data consistency. With smart field mapping, automated contact de-duplication, and real-time progress monitoring, this feature offers a user-friendly experience.
Simultaneous Import of Contacts and Opportunities: Import contacts and opportunities simultaneously to save time and maintain data consistency.
Automatic Contact De-duplication: Prevents duplicate contact entries with automated de-duplication settings derived from global preferences, eliminating manual intervention.
Expanded Email and Phone Fields: Supports importing contacts with multiple email addresses and phone numbers in a single record.
Real-Time Import Monitoring and Error Logs: Provides import status tracking, success rate monitoring, and detailed error logs for effective troubleshooting.
In the Opportunities section, open the options menu (three dots) and select "Import."
Select Objects and Upload
Choose Contacts and Opportunities as import objects then proceed to upload the CSV file.
Choose Record Actions
Decide if you’d like to create new records, update existing ones, or perform both actions. You can also review your Deduplication preferences to verify the selected settings. These preferences can be adjusted within the Business Profile section of your account.
Map CSV Fields
Map fields in your CSV to the relevant fields in the system (for Contacts or Opportunities) to ensure accuracy.
Confirm Import and Customize
Enhance your organization by applying relevant tags to categorize contacts, add contacts to workflows to automate follow-up actions, or assign contacts to specific smart lists for targeted segmentation.
Furthermore, review your mappings to ensure each data field is accurately matched, proceed to confirm the import, and then click Start to usher the bulk action into the queue. Monitor Import Progress
Track the import process under the Bulk Actions tab in Opportunities. Here, you can view progress, download error logs, and resolve any issues.
