The Add Task workflow action in your CRM enables users to assign a task to themselves or their team members. The task can only be assigned to an active user within the account. This workflow action allows you to automate task creation for your team members to remind them to complete important tasks such as setting up follow-up sales calls.
To use this feature start by creating or editing a Workflow to access the builder. Start by adding the Add Task Action by clicking the plus sign icon.
Type the title of the task in the field.
Describe the task in this field provided. Make sure every necessary info that is needed is provided here to guide the users on the task.
Choose the user you want to assign this task to. It could be yourself or other team members.
Select a due date for this task, unlike when creating a task in a contact card here you can select 0 to 5 days from the task creation instead of a specific date. This will help make sure their task is completed efficiently from its creation.
Once you've filled in all the needed fields click Save Action to complete the process, you can continue creating your workflow as normal.
Note: Make sure you've established a workflow trigger before publishing. Without both an action and a trigger, you will only be able to save the workflow, not publish it.
